James S. COTTLE


News Death Notice

COTTLE, James S. 54, of Trenton, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Atrium Medical Center. He was born in Middletown on November 23, 1958 to parents Danny J. and Joyce (Rhodes) Cottle. Jim worked as a medical technician in the lab at Atrium Medical Center. Jim was well known for his Edgewood High School & Georgetown College football accomplishments and was a member of Edgewood's Athletic Hall of Fame. He continued his love of football by coaching Pee Wee Football for his son's team. Even after his son was too old for Pee Wee Jim could often be heard on Saturday morning announcing from the press box from early morning to late afternoon, something he truly loved. Mr. Cottle is survived by his wife, Pamela (Martin) Cottle; three children, Zach Cottle, Alex Cottle & Kelsey Cottle; father, Danny J. (Jan) Cottle; mother, Joyce Cottle; brother, Roger (Angie) Cottle; sisters, Kathy (Jeff) Wells & Jenny Ream; father & mother in-law, Raymond & Dorothy Martin; brothers-in-law, Dan (Linda) Martin, Steve (Barb) Martin & David (Ranae Wolken) Martin; and many nieces, nephews & other loving family & friends. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Father Thomas H. McCarthy officiating.
