Louise N. (Pippert) AVIS


News Death Notice

AVIS (Pippert), Louise N. age 92, of Hamilton, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 15, 1920, the daughter of Thomas and Louisa (Adler) Smith. Louise was the manager at the A & W Root Beer stand in Hamilton, Ohio and later worked as a teacher's aide for the Hamilton Public schools, specifically at Madison Elementary School. Survivors include two children, Mary Lou (Larry) Robbins and Dennis (Bev) Avis; seven grandchildren, Alan (Tricia) Baker, Scott (Laura) Baker, Cindy (Dave) Osborne, Misty (Gary) Guertin, Phillip Baker, Dawn (Bonnie) Everett, and Vicky White; six great-grandchildren, Heather Oblaczinski, Calen Osborne, Josh (Molly) Osborne, Alicia and Allison Baker, and Brandy White; one great-great grandchild, Westin Osborne. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Donald F. Pippert and Lester W. Avis; a daughter, Diane Bochenek and her husband, Ronald. The family would like to express thanks to Dr. Thomas Sargero, Fort Hamilton Hospital 4th floor nursing staff, and Vitas Hospice for the exceptional care they provided. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Rev. D. Alan Baker officiating, followed by burial in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-2:00pm Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of donor's choice in memory of Louise Avis.
