News Death Notice

McINTOSH, Alfred C. age 81, of Middletown, went to be with The Lord on December 31, 2013 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1932 in Hazard, KY to parents, Alfred and Pearl (Napier) McIntosh. Al (A.C.) was a wonderful father to his four children - a very caring, giving, nurturing and protective man who dearly loved his children and grandchildren. Al was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and also enjoyed scuba diving in his younger days. Al served in the Korean War in the U. S. Army. He worked at Armco Steel Corporation for 40 years before retiring in 1994. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother, Michael McIntosh and former wife, Barbara McIntosh. Al is survived by a brother, Richard McIntosh, two sons, Al McIntosh (Susan Lightcap) and John McIntosh (Jane DeSelms), two daughters, Melodie (Rick) Smith and Angie Flynn, grandchildren, Erin, Darby, Allison, Tori, Holly, Jill, Jared, Zachary, Julie, Amber, and great-grandchildren, Campbell, Harrison and Matthew. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 9:00-11:00 am at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Minister Larry Sexton officiating. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
