BLANTON, Rev. Gorman Tye 79, of Sebring, FL and Warren County, OH, died Sunday November 18, 2012 in Tampa FL. Born October 17, 1933 to Felix and Delia (née: Hensley) Blanton in Bailey Switch, Kentucky. Rev. Gorman has been a Pastor for nearly 20 years and he was the Pastor at the First Church of God from 1985-1992 before moving to Florida. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed ice fishing with friends. Gorman was a substitute teacher for a few schools in Sebring FL after leaving Ohio. Preceded in death by his wife Alma Mae (nee: Rine) Blanton, one daughter Dianna Blanton, three brothers, Odell, Felix Jr., and Delbert Blanton, two sisters, Ruby Brown and an infant sister, and son in law, Levi Goforth. Rev. Gorman is survived by his four daughters, Angie Tucker (Tommy) of Lebanon, OH, Rhonda Blanton of Lincolnton, NC, Brenda Schwartz (Richard) of Dover, OH, and Dorothy Goforth of Pleasant Plain, OH, twin brother Glenn Blanton of Sparta, OH, two sisters Marjorie Stillwell of Sparta, OH, and Jeanette Perkins of Lexington, OH, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and dear friend, Star Smith.
