News Death Notice

SANDLIN, Maggie (Brashear) Age 82, of Hamilton, passed away on Sunday November 10, 2013 at the Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was born on July 13, 1931 in Clay County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late James J. and Sallie (Depew) Brashear. In 1952 she married David N. Sandlin in Hamilton and he preceded her in death in 2005. Maggie was a retired bookkeeper for 25 years for Al Joe's Pet and Garden Center. Maggie resided at the Henry Long Tower where she attended Sunday School for the last 17 years. She is survived by her son John (Janice Officer) Sandlin of Germantown; two grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Sandlin and Amy Sandlin and step grandson Cody Officer. Daughter in Law Sharon Sandlin and step grandchildren Shantel, LeAnne, Richard and Stan of Crosby, Texas. She was also preceded in death by her sons, David Lloyd and Elmer L. Sandlin and 17 brothers and sisters. Funeral ceremony will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday November 16, 2013 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Elder Jim House officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to time of service at the funeral home.
