News Death Notice
COLLINS, Shirley R. of Ann Arbor, MI. Age 71, died Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Carelink of Jackson. She was born October 11, 1940 in Bonnie Blue, Virginia the daughter of Harrison and Hattie (Brown) Caudill. She enjoyed 25 years of marriage to Marion Adkins before he passed in 1981. Shirley then married Bob Collins who also preceded her in death after nineteen years of marriage. Shirley loved the outdoors, including fishing, camping, and boating, she treasured her family, who in turn adored her banana pudding. She is survived by her three children; Gregory (Susan) Adkins, Gary Adkins, Sondra (Dan) Adkins-Farmer, 17 Grandchildren; Amber, Gina, Brianna, Little Greg, Dustin, Brandon, Michael, Cody, Danny, Tammy, Joshua, Jacob, Mitchell, Cody, Kylie, Jessika Miranda and twelve great grandchildren. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. Visitation will be Friday, April 13, 2012 from 2-3 pm at Woodside Cemetery Chapel, 1401 Woodside Blvd. Middletown, OH.
