News Death Notice

MINTON, Denzil age 71 of Lebanon died suddenly June 20, 2012. born August 4, 1940. He was the son of Jim and Maggie Sharp and Denzil Minton who all preceded him in death. Denny went to the Hamilton City Schools and later worked for Beer Industry of Dayton, After he left there he worked at the Lebanon Race Track and then on to Lebanon city Schools. Besides all of that he liked to help people with their odd jobs. He said he helped the elderly - he did not realize he was the elderly. He leaves behind his wife Cheryl Minton of 28 years and 3 children, Tina & (Carl) Prichard of Liberty Twp., Jim & (Debbie) Minton of Fairfield and Denise & (David) Arias of California. He also leaves 3 step children Kara Mastern, Jena Mastern and Troy & (Lisa) Mastern. PeePaw to James Asher his first grandson along with Cameron Prichard he will be sadly missed by all of his grandchildren, Jake, Destiny, Jordon, Jaden, Joey, Chanse as well as 3 great grandchildren. A mother in law that adored him Ann Jordan. He leaves 3 siblings behind Terry Minton, Denzella Westrick and Nancy Manganiello. Special friends Jim & Nadine Morgan and Tom & Mo Stull whom he enjoyed their company so much. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his father in law Bill Jordan, and brother Jerry Minton with with his grandparents Charlie and Betty Ann Miller. He was an animal lover and enjoyed yard work. He was always tinkering with something. With a smile on his face and his love of laughter that is what he would want everyone to remember. He died as he lived his body was donated to Wright State University following that will be his cremation. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date to be determined yet.
