Mr. Roy Charles Catoe, 69, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at his home. He was born June 17, 1943 in Lancaster, a son of the late Yancy Ward Catoe and Lula Mae Sistare Catoe.

Mr. Catoe was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church and was one of the founders of Tradesville Volunteer Fire Department, of which he had been a member of for 50 years. He had served as president and was a retired captain. He was founder and owner operator of Catoe's Plumbing, Heating, and Wiring.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Catoe will be held today, Tuesday, April2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Threatt and Rev. Dr. Richard A. Clark officiating. Burial with Fireman's Rites will be in the Spring Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Catoe is survived by his wife, Dianne Pigg Catoe; a son, Marvin Dale Catoe and his wife Sheranna of Lancaster; two daughters, Peggy Catoe Knight and her husband, Bill, and Vickie Catoe Brecht and her husband, Lynn all of Lancaster; two brothers, Billy Catoe and his wife, Amelia and Bobby Catoe and his wife Margaret all of Lancaster; two sisters, Lillian Galloway of Hartsville and Elsie Lowder and her husband, Wilbur of Florence; eight grandchildren, Mandy Knight Sharp, Luke Ira Knight, Kevin Michael Knight, April Dawn Catoe, Simon Matthew Catoe, Misty Lynn Brecht, Kristy Annette Brecht and Dustin Ray Brecht; and a great grandchild, Kensie Leigh Sharp.
Mr. Catoe was preceded in death by brothers, Boyce Catoe, Drew Catoe, Hoke Catoe, Amos Catoe and Yancy Catoe, Jr.; and sisters, Margaret Saleeby and Mary Lois Loyd.
