PAGELAND – Mr. Carrol E. Cavett, 75, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 54 years, Doris J. Cavett of the home; daughter, Sandra C. (Owen) Deese of Pageland; son, Jeffery (Kim) Cavett of Rock Hill, SC; brothers, Danny J. (Cora) Cavett of Eagle Lake, MN and David S. Cavett of Pioria, IL; sister, Barbara (Jack) Parker of Tennessee, IL; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Elizabeth Baptist Church by Rev. Jonathan Cox with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will received friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
Mr. Cavett was born July 6, 1941 in Colchester, IL a son of the late Richard and Dorothy Bliven Cavett. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of New Life Fellowship. Mr. Cavett was a member and former Commander and Adjutant of Mt. Croghan – Ruby American Legion Post 134. He was a retired mechanic with Hendrick Imports of Charlotte and a former heavy equipment operator with Brewer Sand Company. Mr. Cavett was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, and NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, Carrol was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Larry Cavett.
