age 88, of Palm Beach FL. passed away on November 14th 2012 after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. Mimi is the daughter of William Allan Adriance and Eleanor Deans Adriance and was born in New York City. She grew up in London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. Throughout her life she continued to travel extensively, attending finishing school in Paris France. She was a top runway model in the 1950?s and 60?s, and worked for all the top designers. In the late 1960?s she opened The Yoga Center in West Palm Beach where she taught Hatha Yoga for several years. After that she bought Sunrise Natural Foods in Palm Beach and grew it into a thriving business on Royal Poinciana Way. She operated Sunrise for over 30 years before retiring in 2007. She was pre-deceased by her Sister Jan Sterling and her Brother Henry White. Mimi?s life always involved animals and her love for all animals was always one of the most important aspects of her life. She leaves behind her loving cats; Fox, Big Red, William, Charlie and Molly. They brought so much joy to her life and they all miss her terribly. She is survived by her two sons, Marty from Lake Worth, FL and his wife Teresa and Chip from Jupiter, FL and his Fiancé Emily. A memorial in her honor will be arranged in December and close friends and family will be notified. In lieu of flowers, we suggest donations be made in her name to Palm Beach Cats, Peggy Adams Animal Shelter, The Humane Society or any animal based charity of your choice. We miss you mom and we will always remember the love you had for us and the animals around you!

A truly remarkable woman who leaves behind a legacy of truly incredible people such as her son Chip and his Fiance Emily and grandson Justin. These wonderful people are a testement to who Mimi was with their good deeds, loving kindness to all and their willingness to do what they can to make the lives of people around them a rich and fruitful one full of love laughter and support. I knew Mimi only through the legacy she left behind in her loving family for whom I am truly greatful. Rest in the arms of the angels Mimi. You are all Loved.

Mimi was a great influence in my life!
Her deep spiritual faith & insight lit a fire in me when I spent time with her in Palm Beach in the 1970's. I will never forget her or the tremendous gift she gave to a struggling young woman!

Always a truly class act. I remember when Mimi opened Sunrise Natural Foods. I always loved stopping in for lunch on the weekends while I was working at Publix in the mid 70's.

Beautiful tribute! Mimi was one of the primary reasons that I incorporated my non-profit dog rescue, Oliver's House, in 1999. I had started baking dog treats several years earlier for my own dogs and those of friends and purchased most of my ingredients from Sunrise Natural Foods for a long period of time. I was very honored and surprised when Mimi asked if I would bake for her to sell in the store...that was the start of over a decade of providing healthy treats for dogs and cats here in Palm Beach and eventually the West Palm Beach GreenMarket, where she would visit me regularly. Mimi always was so encouraging and positive, while being a wealth of knowledge to me and so many others. She is one of my most favorite things about Palm Beach and will be missed ~ Lisa T.
