Messmore KENDALL Obituary
Messmore Kendall died peacefully at home on December 6, 2014. He was 85 years old. Mr. Kendall grew up in Dobbs Ferry, NY and lived most of his life in Palm Beach, FL. He graduated from The Gunnery School in Washington, CT. He graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA where he earned a degree in Bachelor of Arts and Sciences. He then did post graduate work at Columbia University. He was an Investment Broker at W.R Grace. Mr. Kendall is survived by his wife, Johanna S. Kendall, his sister, Sue Wallingford, his two children, Alexandra Kendall and Messmore Kendall and his two grandsons, Marten and Collin Kendall as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his late wife, Mary Kendall, his sister, Florence Fisher and his parents, Katherine F. Bancroft and Messmore Kendall, Sr. He was a former member of The Bath & Tennis Club, The Everglades Club, The Sailfish Club and The Knickerbocker Club. He was a life member of the Sons of American Revolution, Society of Colonial Wars and Military Order of Loyal Legion. Service will be held on Friday, December 12th at 10:30AM at Bethesda by the Sea Church in Palm Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405 or the charity of your choice.

I remember "Mez" from our gym in Newport. He was as nice a fellow as one would want: reserved but warm,worked out near every weekday in very early a.m.
Today's P.B. Post obit notice has picture that captured his kindness,upbeat manner. His children had an admirable dad. He is missed.
