KONEFAL, Stanley H.* - Jupiter, Fl  
KONEFAL, Stanley H. Stanley H. Konefal, M.D. passed away in Jupiter, Florida on July 2nd after a brief illness. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at Saint Paul of the Cross Church in North Palm Beach, Florida. Stanley was born on September 14, 1921 to Joseph and Mary Konefal in New Britain, Connecticut. Stanley attended Alliance Junior College in Pennsylvania in 1941 and graduated Tufts University, Massachusetts, in 1943. While at Tufts he became a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. He continued his education earning his M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine. After completing his surgical residency at Cambridge City Hospital, Dr. Konefal practiced general surgery for his entire career at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Santa Maria Hospital, and New England Memorial Hospital. Dr. Konefal trained in the U.S. Army during medical school. He was a military surgeon in the army in Orleans, France from 1954 to 1956. While living in Massachusetts Dr. Konefal was a communicant of Saint Joseph Church in Medford, and Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville. Dr. Konefal was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Catherine (Arigo). Stanley and Catherine lived and raised their children in Medford, Massachusetts. They enjoyed time with family and friends at their summer home on Cape Cod in Centerville. Dr. and Mrs. Konefal spent a long and happy retirement in Florida for more than twenty years. For the last eight years of his life Dr. Konefal shared his life with his wife Elaine (Foster) and her devoted family in Palm Beach County. Stanley and Elaine traveled extensively including a trip to the Shrine of Our Lady of Medjugorje and Eastern Europe. They shared a devout Catholic faith. Stanley was most happy when he and Elaine were often graciously entertained by Elaine's daughter, Susie, and her husband, Mike, and their family in Jupiter and the Florida Keys. Dr. Konefal leaves three married children: Stanley H. Konefal, Jr. M.D. (Joan) of Westfield, MA; Joseph J. Konefal, M.D. (Karen) of Norfolk, VA; and Catherine A. Murray (Peter) of Centerville, MA. He leaves eight grandchildren: Katie (John); Joseph (Kate); Cate (Ian); Christopher (Nicole); Stephen: Patricia (Benjamin); David (Kaela); and Mary, along with three great grandchildren: Emma, Owen, and Wyatt. He also leaves behind his sisters and their families: Clara Bakaj, Anna Danko, Bernice Chausse, of Connecticut, and Helen Blois of Maine. KARRER, Richard Grover Richard Grover Karrer, 86, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 28, 2015 in Royal Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Chicago, IL, on May 9, 1929 and was a Korean War veteran. He is survived by his wife Barbara Karrer and daughters Mary Andreu and Susan Parks, their spouses Juan Andreu, Jr. and Roy Parks; grandchildren Sarah, Johnathan and Danielle Parks and Michael Andreu. Richard's legacy is a life of service and faith: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15). A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11:00AM with a service beginning at 12:30PM. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery. KICK, Debra Mae Debra Kick, 58,of Delray Beach, Fl. passed away July 24th, 2015. She was born Jan. 17th, 1957 in Harrisburg,Pa. She was a registered nurse. She married her husband Bob in 2008. She is survived by her husband Bob, her sister Joyce Nabors of Lake Worth and 2 nieces, Lori and Melissa Nabors. KRACUNAS, Bernard Justin Anthony* - North Palm Beach  
KRACUNAS, Bernard Justin Anthony Bernard "Bernie" J. A. Kracunas, loving husband and father, of North Palm Beach, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2015. Bernard was born on December 19, 1924 in South Boston, MA. He served his country in the United States Navy. He graduated from Yale University with the Class of '48. While working in Washington, D. C., in the Department of the Navy, he met and married his wife of over 60 years, Mary Hewitt. Bernard is survived by his wife Mary; brother Joseph (Helen); children Michael (Cheryl), Lisa Marie, Mark (Patti); grandchildren Jason, Jamie (Gabe), Courtney; great-grandchildren Summit, Lukas, Elena and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:00-7:00pm at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 5 at 11:00am at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408.
