67, of Lake Worth passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Betsy was raised in and a graduate of schools in Petersburg, Virginia. She was also a graduate of Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor Degree in History. Moving to this area in the early 1970?s with her husband and children, she was the co-owner of the Sub-Club in Palm Springs for many years before changing careers. Betsy worked at J.C. Penny in the Boynton Beach Mall for nine years. She then retired from retail to pursue her passion of gardening and buying and selling antiques. Betsy was preceded in death by her son Andrew in 2003 and also her brothers; George and Sidney Bernard. She leaves her husband, of 43 years, Philip, her daughter Sarah R. Hatch of St. Cloud, grandsons; Mason, Derek and Hunter Hatch, and her daughter-in-law Patti Hatch of Boynton Beach, and a sister Hazel Lee Bernard and brother David Bernard. Her family will gather to celebrate her life on Saturday, February 2, 2013 between 5:00 -6:00 PM at the funeral home when her Memorial Service will be held.
