Leo H. Stanley, 84, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014. Leo was born June 17, 1929 in Newburgh, NY. He is the son of the late Aldred and Elizabeth Mary (Sanders) Stanley. Leo proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a fighter pilot from 1943-1945 in the Korean war. After serving his country Leo went on to be a supervisor for New York Telephone and Telegraph. After many years of service he retired to south Florida. He is survived by his wife Louise (DeLuca) Stanley his step children Brenda Leatherwood (Marc) Donna Edwards, Lisa Edwards and preceded in death his son Donald Edwards. He also has six grandchildren Michael, Jessica, Taylor, Justin, Jennifer, Devyn and one great-grandson Paxton. His children Barbara, Leo Jr. Mary, Clair and granddaughter Kelly Elizabeth all residing in New York. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the Palms West Funeral Home with a memorial service starting at 3:00PM.
