Leonard "Arkie" Dominic Arcadipane, 94, passed away quietly at his Wellington home with Hospice care Monday, April 22, 2013 He was born January 3, 1919 in California, Pennsylvania to Dominick and Felicia (Butera) Arcadipane. Leonard graduated from Charleroi (Pennsylvania) High School in 1938. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1942 and served in the Aleutian Islands until 1945. Leonard was married December 27, 1945 to Bertha May Romito who survives him at home. Leonard spent most of his work career as a civilian employee of the Federal Government in Central Pennsylvania, with both the Air Force and the Army, in computer operations. He retired in 1973 after more than 32 years of service. In retirement he worked part time as a bank courier for Cumberland County National Bank (CCNB) and then later for Dauphin Deposit in the Central Pennsylvania area around Harrisburg for nearly 15 years. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Arcadipane and Rose Monach, and daughter, Barbara Vagnerini. In addition to his wife, Bertha; he is survived by his son, Lee Arcadipane and his wife, Charlene, of Wellington; grandson, Randy Arcadipane, and granddaughter, Kaylee Arcadipane.
