Dr. Marvin Hamburg, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and World War II veteran, passed away on February 4, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 17, 1924 to Sadie and George Hamburg, Marv was a graduate of City College of NY and New York University College of Dentistry. He served in the US Army during World War II and was decorated with a purple heart and a Bronze star. He played a leadership role in many organizations including JGSPBCI, Indian Spring Country Club, Kew Gardens Hills Jewish Center, Knights of Pythias, NYUCD and Alpha Omega Fraternity. He was a dentist who practiced in New York and later taught dentistry at NYUCD. Dr. Hamburg is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Natalie (Chick); his children, son Dr. Larry Hamburg and spouse Anne Marie and daughter, Andrea Hamburg Jacoby; his grandchildren, Jason Luke Jacoby, Jamie Hamburg and Ryan Hamburg; and his brother, Mort Hamburg (and spouse Joan). Funeral services will be held at 1:45pm at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel in Boynton Beach.
