CAITO, Raymond J.

Raymond J. Caito, 84, of Lynn Haven, FL, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2013 at his daughter's home after an extended illness. Originally from Warwick, RI he retired to Lake Park, FL. He had a zest for life, was a lover of golfing, fishing and playing poker on the computer. He was born in Providence, RI on June 23, 1928. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley A. Hawes Caito, to whom he was married 40 years; parents, John and Maria G. Santoro Caito; and five brothers, Frank J. Caito, Alexander Caito, John Caito, Jr., Robert B. Caito and Edward D. Caito. He is survived by three brothers, William G. Caito, Joseph A. Caito and Michael Caito of Rhode Island; one sister, Marie G. Caito Whitfield of California; his children, Sheila R. Caito Proulx and son-in-law, Kenneth J. Proulx of Lynn Haven, FL, Colleen J. Caito Cone of Ashaway, RI and Raymond J. Caito, Jr. of Warwick, RI; his granddaughters, Dawn and Renee Proulx of Panama City, FL; grandsons, Jon and Nathan Cone of Rhode Island; great-grandchildren, Lily Proulx, Cloe and Caleb Cone; many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family; and loving friend, Joan Karns. Ray served in the Armed Forces of the United States. He owned and operated, Custom Auto Seat Covers in Providence, RI for many years. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be held at the Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, FL on Thursday, June 20th. Family will receive friends at 12 noon with the service beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Raymond J. Caito to Emerald Coast Hospice, 2925 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Panama City, FL 32405.
