Dr. Richard Ringler, 61, of Wellington, FL, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2013 surrounded by his family at Hospice of Palm Beach. He grew up in Long Island, NY and has been a resident of South Florida where he owned his own veterinary practice in Royal Palm Beach for the past 30 years. Dr. Ringler, known as "Doc", had a compassionate, dedicated, intelligent, hardworking nature and deep love for animals which made him a prominent figure in the veterinary community that will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He was a man with a big personality and an even bigger heart who always filled the room with smiles and laughter. Rich touched the lives of all who met him and left a lasting impression on everyone, both two-legged and four-legged. He was an avid lover of music, books, food, photography, and traveling, and loved to visit his home in the mountains of Asheville, NC. But above all, Rich was a family man whose greatest pleasure in life was being a father and spending time with his loved ones. Richard is survived by his daughter, Erin Ringler; son, Michael Ringler; and his sisters, Caren Kaller and Deborah Smith. He will also be missed greatly by his brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, staff, clients and patients alike. The memorial to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Binks Forest Golf Club in Wellington, FL. Donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
