URQUHART, Robert Oliver
Robert Oliver Urquhart, 79, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on March 13, 2014. Robert was born in West Palm Beach to the late Park and Mary Bain Urquhart. He graduated from Palm Beach High School, attended Palm Beach Junior College, University of Florida
and the University of Cincinnati, Conservatory of Music where he received his Bachelor's Degree. Robert had a passion for acting and appeared in several productions at Palm Beach Junior College at what is now known as the Duncan Theater. Robert was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Palm Beach. He loved music and was an accomplished bag piper with Palm Beach Pipe and Drum and served on the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Department Honor Guard. He was a member of the Masons and belonged to the Scottish Rite and the Amara Shrine. He worked as a land surveyor and spent seventeen years as an Engineering Technician for the Village of Royal Palm Beach. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend of 56 years, Jean Urquhart, daughter, Mary Johnmeyer (Raymond Michael) and grandson, Raymond Andrew Johnmeyer of O'Fallon, MO, twin sister, Barbara Thornton (Haywood) of Orlando, brother, Park V. Urquhart (Marie) of Spartenburg, SC, sister-in-law, Sandra Heaton of West Palm Beach and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 211 Trinity Place, West Palm Beach.
