Stanley PIERI

PIERI, Stanley

Passed into the arms of God on July 6, 2013 at the age of 77 after a long, brave fight with cancer. He was born in New York City on December 19th, 1935 to George and Maregaro Pieri. He is survived by his sisters Helen and Vangelene and had a deceased brother, John. Central to his life was his 31 year love for Christine Black and children George and wife Margarita Pieri, Athena and husband Mike Perakis and Stanley Jr. He also lovingly cherished his granddaughters Nectaria Perakis and Sophia and Julia Pieri, who all recently came to Florida to show him their love. Stanley went into the Army in 1958 and then worked in the restaurant industry until he purchased the Dorian Diner in Mineola, N.Y. in 1975. He moved on to operate and own Kristan's on L.I. from 1984-1992 with Christine, until being diagnosed with cancer. They moved to Florida in 1994. Stanley served on the chairs at the Elks and also joined the Moose Club. His last ownership focus of pride was forming and running Beacon Transportation with Christine in 2000, where he was able to form many lasting friendships and provide loyal customers a reliable driving service. Visitation will be held from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, July 9th, at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center St, Jupiter, FL. He will then be buried at Long Island National Cemetery in New York.
