William Dempsey Boyce, Jr. died peacefully on Thursday April 11, 2013 at the age of 91. William was a native Floridian, born April 13, 1921 and was raised in West Palm Beach, FL. He graduated in 1940 from Palm Beach High School, and joined the United States Coast Guard
in 1941. William "Bill" was positioned on the U.S.S. General William Mitchell AP-114. Bill married Eleanor Lanier, of Savannah, GA in 1944. Bill worked for the City of Lake Worth, FL where he retired with 20 years of service. His love for airplanes prompted him to learn how to fly, and get his private pilot's license. Bill and Eleanor moved to Blairsville, GA in the 1980's and returned back to West Palm Beach, FL in 2000. Bill lived a wonderful life and will be forever missed. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Jean. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eleanor Boyce; three children, Catherine Bailey, Thomas Boyce, and Carol Sherman; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a brother. A Memorial service will be held May 3rd, 2013 at Del Lago Funeral Home, 131 S. Lakeside Dr., Lake Worth, FL 33460. Visiting with family and friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and a Memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial service 12:30 PM at Pinecrest Cemetery, 1724 12th Ave. South, Lake Worth, FL 33460.
