Gordon KELLEY Obituary
Gordon B. Kelley, 77, of Highland Beach, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2015. Born and raised in Decatur, GA, Gordon attended and graduated from the University of Georgia where he played football for the Bulldogs and helped them win an SEC Championship in 1959. He then went on to play in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Redskins before finishing his football career with the Atlanta Falcons. In 1960 Gordon married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte Blanchard, and they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage together. After retiring from football, Gordon moved his family to Ocean Ridge, FL. He then owned a furniture store and worked and invested in Real Estate before retiring in Highland Beach. Gordon loved fitness, walking on the beach, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte, siblings, Jack (Brenda), Polly and Patsy, his two children, Gordon B. Kelley Jr. (Annelee) and Mary K. Earnhart (Craig), his five grandchildren, Charles (Rena) and Maxwell Kelley, and Billy, Charlotte and Russell Earnhart, and his great-grandson, Walter Kelley. A private family service was held on October 24, 2015. i use to Know him Gordon Kelley my old friend he use to be a security guard in Boca Marina court he worked there for six days so thursday s was his day off and yep and invated him to come over to are house for my grandulation part long time ago 2005 and then he retired from work i use to call him every other days before he passed away peacefully i say s to me is um colonel were every i am also be your friend also Bud oh that s nice of him to say that to you thanks also look after me also keep an eye on me yep also with you in your Hearts and your Memories as well from your Old Friend Colonel Brendan Tirrell god bless you gordon kelley my old friend love you in the Moon also have Been

Oh Gordon aka Mr. Kelley, how dearly you will be missed. Joe, Kevin and I enjoyed our quarterly dinner dates, we laughed so hard our sides sometimes hurt. You are a true gentleman and always had a big smile. I loved hearing about your wife and her cooking, your walks on the beach and the love you two shared. I met Mr. Kelley later in his life. he was a very special man and friend. We laughed together and I always enjoyed talking to him. He loved Charlotte so much and his family. We enjoyed the times we met him for dinner. He will be missed by all who knew him. I am very sad for his family, My sympathy goes out to his family and friends. He will be missed forever!!! Gordon was a friend in Atlanta and later UGA as a football teammate. He lived one room from me in Payne Hall, the Athletic Dorm. My condolences to his family. Gordon was a Champion.

Gordon was a friend, and I enjoyed serving him as a football manager. We had a nice telephone conversation a few years back. His passing saddens me and my sympathy to the family.

Gordon was a good friend and teammate with the Falcons. We shared a few beers together over the years.I always wanted him on my side, even though I was a Techster! Please know I share your sorrow. He was a good man. It is good to see some of my other Bulldog friends I haven't seen in years.

I followed the 1959 team closely every Saturday on the radio and I remember Gordon Kelly well. He was a standout player.
Because of Gordon and his outstanding contribution to the 1959 team, I was motivated to walk-on at Georgia and I earn a scholarship on Vince Dooley's first team in 1964.
I am indebted to Gordon Kelley for helping me make the right decision to go to Georgia.
