DONOGHUE, Sr., Robert J.

Robert J. Donoghue, Sr., age 91, of Boynton Beach, FL and Bloomfield, CT died on Monday, May 27, 2013. He worked for Emhart Corporation for 41 years and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Enterprise CV-6 and CASV #2 during World War II. He was a member of the Elks Club in Windsor, CT for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Foster), who died December 31, 1993. He is survived by his son, Robert, Jr. and his wife, Eileen of Belchertown, MA; his daughter, Susan Donoghue, of Pembroke, VA; stepdaughter, Lee Ann Foley and her husband, Peter of West Hartford, CT; stepson, Michael Murray and his wife, Kirsten of Malvern, PA; stepdaughter, Charlene Siemon of Simi Valley, CA; his grandchildren, Christopher and his wife, Carol, Daniel, Samuel, Elise, Julia, Kristen, Taylor and Jack and his great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Ryan. The family wishes to extend its heartfelt appreciation to Tom Antol of Delray Concierge and to the staff at Seabury in Bloomfield, CT for their wonderful care. His family will receive friends Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, CT. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013, 11:00 AM at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home followed by burial with military honors in Mountain View Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
