DAY, Annie Sue (Jones)

Annie Sue (Jones) Day, of West Palm Beach, FL passed away July 13, 2014. Lived in the West Palm Beach area since 1925. She graduated from Palm Beach High School in 1937. She married Leonard O. Day in 1939. Annie was a longtime member of First Christian Church of West Palm Beach and later an active member of Tropical Sands Christian Church of Palm Beach Gardens, where she was an Elder Emeritus. In her younger years she was a popular vocalist singing in the church choir and for various organization, weddings and funerals. Her family and her church family were her life. She is predeceased by her loving husband Leonard O. Day, daughter Lynda Sue Losee, brothers, Hubert Jones and John B. Jones, sisters Gladys Lewis and Ruby Jalosky. She is survived by her daughter Anita Day Burgess, grandchildren Jerry and Glenn (Ruth Rhodes) Burgess, James and Samatha Losee, great-grandchildren, Blaine and Alec Burgess and Harper Sue Losee, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a plethora of friends. She will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held service will be held at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home on Friday. July 18 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, July 19 at Tropical Sands Christian Church, 2726 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens. A private burial will be take place at Lake Worth Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions in her name may be made to Tropical Sands Christian Church of Palm Beach Gardens or Hospice of Palm Beach County.
