ARLIE RUSSELL BOBO, Jr. Arlie Russell Bobo, Jr., born July 22, 1948, passed away Monday evening, September 24, after a short but valiant fight with pancreatic and liver cancer. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his law degree in 1973 from Florida State University Law School. He is most proud of his affiliation with Delta Chi Fraternity and especially his Big Chill brothers. Russ was proud to be inducted as an honorary member into Florida Blue Key. He has been a member of the Palm Beach County and Florida Bar Associations since 1974, and a member of professional legal organizations including the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Russ began his law practice with Jones, Paine and Foster of West Palm Beach in 1974, opened his own firm of McFarlain, Bobo in Tallahassee in 1977, and returned to North Palm Beach in 1986 founding the firm now known as Bobo, Ciotoli, Bocchino, White, Buigas & Russell. His unprecedented record as a leading defense medical malpractice attorney earned him the overwhelming respect and admiration of his peers and the legal community throughout the state and nation. He was also a member of the
and very active in St. Mark's Episcopal Church. He was born in Baltimore, MD to parents, Arlie and Helen Bobo who preceded him in death. Married in 1971 in Lake Wales, FL, he is survived by his adoring wife and soul mate of 41 years, Timara Tomko Bobo. In addition, he is survived by his three children, Kristin (Josh) Davidson and granddaughters, Hailey and Ashley, of Austin, TX; Kelly (Freddy) Chesney and grandsons, Trey and Kameron of Palm City, FL, and Bryan (Brianna) Bobo of Greenville, SC, and his sister-in-law, Andrea (Chuck) Daniels of Columbia, MD. A Celebration of Life service will be at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 3395 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, on Saturday, September 29 at 1:00 PM.
