PEDERSEN, Edwin P.

Edwin P. Pedersen died at home, October 2, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Patricia and son, Eric. Born in Michigan, moved to Florida with his family and settled in Jupiter. He had a career as a Residential and Commercial Building Contractor with Gladwin Bassett. He also served on the Jupiter Town Council from 1964 to 1988. As long time Jupiter resident, he loved his community and was a great asset in the transformation of a tiny town into a thriving place. In retirement, he spent several years volunteering with kindergarten students at Jupiter Elementary School. A World War II Veteran, assigned to guard President Franklin D. Roosevelt in his final years and a charter member of the Jupiter Light Masonic Lodge. Once asked, What he would like to be remembered for? He replied "My integrity". Per family request, no services will be held. Donations to Hospice of Palm Beach County would be greatly appreciated.
