Harriett VanSiclen Allison, 95, of Juno Beach, FL passed away peacefully on April 29, 2013 in Jupiter, FL after a long illness. She was born in New York City on September 17, 1917. A native New Yorker, she moved to Florida in 1979 and lived in Juno Beach for the past twenty-seven years. She volunteered for over twenty years at Jupiter Medical Center and Jupiter Medical Center Pavilion. She was a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta. She loved life, her family and her friends. She was predeceased by her husband George Allison, Jr. in 1974. She is survived by four devoted children, George Allison, III (Laraine) of Lafayette, CO, William VanSiclen Allison of The Woodlands, TX, Richard S. Allison (Linda) of Little River, SC, and Sue Allison Strickland (Mike) of Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Allison Maus (John, Jr.) of Riverside, CT, Jessica Cahill (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC, Kathryne Dyer (Alasdair) of Little River, SC, Jeffrey Allison of Chicago, IL and Jennifer Allison of Omaha, NE; and four great-grandsons. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Elizabeth Depree of Hobe Sound, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15 at The First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta, 482 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, FL. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
