Age 49, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday evening, March 20. She lived a life filled with joy. Jeanne's life reflected her deeply held belief that "joy is unaffected by circumstance." For the past five years, she bravely fought the battle against cancer. Jeanne' was born in Astoria, New York, in 1964, and was raised on Long Island. Her family moved to Boca Raton in the 1970s, and she attended Boca Raton Academy and Cardinal Gibbons High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications from Florida Atlantic University. After she graduated, she worked in the magazine industry as a writer and editor. She married the love of her life, Tim Carroll, in 1990. They celebrated 22 years of marriage last year. They have lived in Boynton Beach and Lake Worth. They adopted their son, David, 19 years ago. Jeanne' touched the lives of so many people with her kindness and grace. She was a deeply compassionate soul who made everyone feel special and important. She had a sparkle and a zest for life that was unparalleled. She was determined, disciplined, and tackled each day with purpose. She lived her life with intent. Jeanne' had many talents - she was an amazing communicator. She had the ability to remain connected with her circle of friends on a very frequent basis. She was always planning get-togethers, and remained in constant contact with close friends via phone calls, email and text messages. When Jeanne' set out to accomplish something, she really did it. And she never did things in a small way. She did it completely and with flourish. She took great pride in doing things well. She trained very hard and ran the Walt Disney World Marathon to support the Leukemia Society of America's Team in Training. She also became a Certified Yoga Instructor, and taught weekly classes in her home. Her clients all became her friends. Everyone loved her. Once she was diagnosed with cancer, she sought to learn everything she could, and worked to find a cure. She did research, talked with doctors, and explored every possible alternative. Through her research, she discovered "Crazy Sexy Cancer," an organization founded by Kris Carr to provide a support network for women living with cancer. Jeanne' went on to become an Ambassador for the Crazy Sexy Cancer organization, and worked to provide support to others who were facing similar issues in their cancer journeys. It meant so much to Jeanne' to be a resource to people - new friends for her - and to provide hope. It was all about hope and providing support to each other. She deeply inspired many women who never met her in person. Jeanne' had that effect on people. Her deep Catholic faith was very meaningful to her. She honored Christmas and Easter each year with beautiful rituals and traditions in her family. She held her family so close, and she loved to celebrate the holidays with such joy. She maintained her religious convictions and faith when others might have questioned their faith. She was determined when most would quit and strongest when most would crumble, right up until the very end of her life. Jeanne' and her husband had recently purchased a vacation home in North Carolina, and she was able to experience many happy memories there during the past couple of years with her family and friends. She loved escaping to her "Serenity Cottage." It was a sanctuary for her, especially during the trials of cancer treatment. She is survived by her husband, Tim Carroll; her son, David Carroll; her mother, Colette Marie; her father, John Baccari; and her stepmother, Joan Baccari, and her three step-sisters, Karen Carr, Elizabeth DeAngelo, Chrissie Ramge, and, and their families. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 22, 2013, at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 West Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, A funeral mass will be celebrated 12 noon Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Lantana.
