Jennie "Jeanne" Siegel born Gene Strzesak (1922) passed away peacefully in her North Palm Beach home at the age of 91 on April 13, 2013. She was surrounded by close family members. She is survived by her loving children, Joan Maduri, Janice Campion, and Jay Steven Siegel, as well as her brother, Henry and sister, Lucy. She had four grandchildren, Brendan Maduri, Andrew Campion, Kenneth Campion and Christie Beadle and seven great-grandchildren. Jennie was a long time resident of Boynton Beach. She moved to Florida after the passing of her husband, Erwin Siegel (1986), who she met in Rhode Island in the early 1940s and with whom she lived together as man and wife for 45 years. After World War II, the family lived at times in California and Florida. She was a devoted wife and mother, who helped support her family, working as cashier and later accounts payable officer. Jennie was always an engaged member of her community; in Southern California she served as President of the Business and Professional Women's Association (Tarzana). For the last 25 years, she was an active member, officer, and longest standing member of the American Polish Club in Lake Worth. She will be remembered for her great love for life and her personal vigor that allowed her to live independently. She will be dearly missed. No public services. Donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
