JOHN WILLIAM BOLTON, MD 88, of Stuart, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Stuart, FL. He was born in Kingston, Ontario and came to Miami in 1925, residing there until 1992 when he moved to Stuart. Dr. Bolton was an Eagle Scout, he attended the University of Florida and graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He was a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and practiced in Miami until his retirement on the staffs of Jackson Memorial and North Shore Hospitals. Dr. Bolton served as a medical aidman in WWII and as a medical officer with the Second Infantry Division in Korea, winning the combat medical badge. He served on the State of Florida Judicial Nominating Commission and was a member of Mariner Sands Country Club. He was an avid golfer and bridge player. He was a benefactor and friend of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Martin County. Dr. Bolton is survived by his wife, Marge Lockhart Bolton; daughters, Jane Broffman and Nancy Kligfeld; a son, John Bolton, Jr.; and eight grandchildren.
