BASSETT, Marion Henze

Age 89, of Jupiter, FL died on January 10, 2013 at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Survivors include her husband, Dean W. Bassett; her children, Raymond F. Henze III (Susanne), Carol Henze Bannister (John) and Barbara Henze Hollis as well as five grandchildren, Noelle Bannister, Andrew Bannister (Rebekah), Megan Henze, Allison Henze and Christian Henze. Marion was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond F. Henze, Jr. Marion was born in Riverdale, NY on September 3, 1923 to Marion Long Walsh and Cornelius J. Walsh. She graduated from Mount St. Vincent Academy in Riverdale, NY and Trinity College, Washington, DC, with a degree in economics. Marion married Raymond F. Henze, Jr. on May 5, 1951. She and her family were longtime residents of Scarsdale, NY. Marion worked at Pace University, White Plains, NY as the Assistant to the President of the University. Marion was the ever-gracious and welcoming hostess. She will be long remembered by her many friends and family members for her wonderful sense of humor, her joyful spirit and the respect and caring she showed to all people. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church, Hobe Sound, FL On Saturday, February 9, at 11:00 AM.
