Mark SHEPHARD Obituary
SHEPHARD, Mark

Mark Shephard, 43, of Palm Bay, son of Rose Frye of Lake Worth, passed away June 28, 2013 at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, FL., after a brief illness. Mark was a proud Marine who passed the trumpet audition for the Marine Corp Band when he was only 17. He attained his secondary music education while in the Marine program. He played all brass instruments and the keyboard. At 1st Baptist Church of Lantana he played hand bells, sang and did frequent trumpet solos. He was honored to play many Military Services such as Memorial Day. He was in the elite music group TG at Lake Worth High where he played and sang for shows and other public events. He played one year with the Palm Beach Opera, and one season with a local jazz band. Mark is survived by his most precious daughters, Brittany and Amanda Shephard, of Palm Bay; children Saara and Christopher Shephard of Finland; parents Rose and Chuck Frye of Lake Worth; sister Jill Shephard and brother Steve Shephard of West Palm Beach; special niece and nephew Jacquelyn Milby and Cameron Melvin of Lake Worth; stepsisters Lori Frye Mansfield and Pam Frye Smith; and several aunts, cousins, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Richard Shephard, brothers Douglas and C. Scott Shephard, sister Karen Buckshot and stepbrother Douglas Frye. His quick wit and intelligence will be missed by all who knew him, but not as much as his caring. He was truly the guy who would give you the shirt off his back. His outgoing personality was the reason no one was a stranger. Browniee Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne, FL. In charge of arrangements. Service to be held at Praise Cathedral at 840 Melbourne Blvd., Melbourne (Palm Bay) at 5 PM Tuesday July 2, 2013, with Pastor Tom.
