PITCHER, Nadine Davis

Nadine Davis Pitcher, 76, of Logan, Utah, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12, 2014 in Logan, Utah. She was born on September 3, 1937 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida a daughter of George Lafranus Davis and Dorothy Lena McElya Davis. Nadine was a 1955 graduate of Palm Beach High School in West Palm Beach, Florida and a graduate of Judson College in Marion, Alabama. She moved to Logan from Florida in 1974 and met Winston D. Pitcher. They married on September 10, 1976. She has one son, Jefferson D. Nall, Hyrum, Utah; a stepson, Johnny Pitcher, Logan and a step-daughter, Jan Sara (Steve) , West Jordan, Utah. She is survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews, a brother E. Gene Davis (Joyce) of Atlantis, Florida. Nadine retired from the Budge Clinic in Logan in 1999 where she worked doing data entry and billing. She loved making quilts for her co-workers who were expecting newborns. She mastered cross stitch and painting and won blue ribbons at the Cache County Fairs. She loved traveling all over the world and was a volunteer at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games. Her favorite team was the Utah Jazz, win or loose. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 17 at 2:00PM in the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center with Dr. Brian Kimball of the Emmanuel Baptist Church officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday evening from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the mortuary and also on Saturday from 1:00PM to 1:45PM.
