Richard A. CROCCO M.D. Obituary
CROCCO, MD., Richard A.

Rick passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and son Kevin on Thursday, September 12, 2013. He was born in Cleveland, OH on March 30, 1937. He is predeceased by his parents Sisto and Catherine Crocco. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and its medical school. He did his residency at Georgetown University before doing his two year obligation to the Air Force at Lackland Air Force Base. Rick moved to the Philadelphia suburbs and worked at St Joe's Hospital until he began his private practice. In 1991, he had found his passion in work as well as in life when he met the love of his life Susan L. Apple and began working as an addiction psychiatrist for the VA in Perryville, MD. Susie and Rick have been married for 22 years the last 13 in Jupiter, FL where he worked for the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach. He will be lovingly missed by Susie, his first wife Karen (married for 24 years), his twin brother Robert, three children (Kerri, Kevin, and Kyle), two grandchildren (Konnor and Mason) as well as his many friends, coworkers and patients at the VA. Rick was an avid golfer and loved living in PARADISE with Susie. They were filled with gratitude on a daily basis for having found each other and for the wonderful life they had living in their dream home on the river. There will be no services for Rick as he has donated his organs to science and will be cremated afterward. He will then continue to be with Susie, her "Baba" forever into the light.
