MILLER, Jr., Royal Arthur

Mr. Royal Arthur Miller, Jr., age 94, of Young Harris, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at his home following an extended illness. He was born June 23, 1920 in Toledo, OH to the late Royal A. and Ada (Lieberger) Miller, Sr. His father, Mr. Miller, Sr., was a Master Baker and baking author with Tidetkes in Toledo, OH for many years. Mr. Miller moved to this area 21 years ago from West Palm Beach, FL. Mr. Miller retired from United Technologies/Pratt and Whitney Aircraft after 33 years of dedicated service as a Systems Analyst. He had a passion for music and was a Church Organist for 28 years, Keyboard Artist and Entertainer. He was preceded in death by his children's mother, Mary Louise Lamerson-Miller, brothers, Darrell F. Miller (owner of "Miller Super Value" in Palm Beach County) and Ardeth Miller, sister, Helen Miller. Mr. Miller was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include his wife, Linda L. Miller, of Young Harris, GA, children, Angela and Chris Stanfield of Palm Beach, FL and Royal Miller III of Palm Beach, FL, step-children, Rhonda Sprague of Mills River, NC and Dale and Pam Harrison of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, grandchildren, Mariah, Brianna, Austin, Emma, Christopher and Charlotte, step-grandchildren, Nicholas, Travis, Curtis, James, Abbey and Leah, two nieces also survive. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers make memorial contributions to United Hospice of Blue Ridge. Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
