BURNHAM, Sandra J.|
Sandra J. Burnham, longtime resident of South Florida, passed away on August 18, 2014 in Glendale, California. She is preceded in death by her husband Morton L. Snyder and is survived by her daughter, Karyn and son-in-law, Joe Perez; beloved grandsons, Nicolas, Gabriel and Cristian, La Canada, California, and Roger and Elaine Burnham, Ellijay, Georgia. While she was still living in South Florida, Sandra was devoted to her church, Lake Worth Congregational; volunteering with the Women's Fellowship and always willing to lend a hand with whatever they needed. She was an avid reader who enjoyed mysteries, and participating in book clubs. She was a patron of the arts, who liked a night out at the ballet or theater with her husband or a friend. Sandra was a caring and loyal friend to so many and cherished the friends that she had. Since the time she moved to Los Angeles it was hard for her to stay in touch due to the limitations brought on by Alzheimer's but she welcomed hearing from friends on the phone or in a card. Sandra spent almost all of her professional life working in the Federal Court system; first in Miami and then in West Palm Beach. She retired in 2001 when her first grandchild was born and enjoyed being a "nana" to Nicolas, and then Gabriel and Cristian. Donations in her honor may be sent to First Congregational UCC, 1415 North "K" Street, Lake Worth, Florida 33460.
