Virginia Mae Turner Noegel, of Martinsville, Virginia, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at home. She was a long time resident of West Palm Beach, Florida prior to moving to Virginia. Mrs. Noegel was born in Chicago, Illinois on February 1, 1928, to the late William Edwin Turner and Ruth Boyden Turner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence Noegel; a daughter, Linda Lee Darden; three sons, Gregory Oliver, Michael Oliver and Scott Oliver, and a sister, Heidi Turner Armstrong. She had been a sales associate at Frances Brewsters' Boutique on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida where she was the top sales associate for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church on Starling Avenue, Martinsville, Virginia. She is survived by her grandson, Gary Thomas Darden of Martinsville, Virginia; three great-granddaughters; a stepson, Richard Noegel of Lancaster, South Carolina, and a stepdaughter, Sheri Noegel Brasington of Lancaster, South Carolina and two nephews, Robert Swoger of Illinois and William Swoger of Michigan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 12, at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service with Rev. John Fulcher and Daniel Willson officiating. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the memorial service.
