Walter J. Fleming, of Palm Beach Shores, Florida passed away peacefully on December 25, 2013. He was 61 years young. The spirit of Christmas and his family surrounded him. Walter was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to his parents Walter and Janet Fleming. He spent many years at the Jersey Shores, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey where he leaves behind many dear friends and family. Walter worked for 18 years for the United States Department of the lnterior National Park Service at the Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis lsland, New York, NY as the Deputy Chief of Maintenance and as Facility Manager at Manhattan Sites. He moved to Florida where he worked as Public Works Director in Palm Beach Shores, The Best Little Town in Florida. There he married the love of his life, Sue. They married in 2008 on New Year's Eve in Key West, Florida. He loved his life with his best friend, soul mate, wife Sue. He loved his children and family, his home, the ocean, golf, many outdoor festivals, his dogs, and the N.Y. Jets. He is predeceased by his parents and by his adoring Aunt Mary Jane and Uncle Bill Farrell. Walter will be greatly missed by his loving wife Sue, his son Walter John, his daughter Kristine, sisters Barbara Dougherty, Mary Beth Reid, and brother John. He will be missed by all of this family and many, many good friends. Special thanks to Dr. James Harris for his amazing care and friendship and to his caring staff. The world has in deed lost one of Gods greatest men. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the future.
