PHILLIP D. ANDERSON Phil, age 87, a native of West Palm Beach, was called home on Sunday, October 31, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Phil was the son of West Palm Beach pioneers Frank J. Anderson and Mattie Mae Anderson. Phil served in the Philippines during WW II as an Army 1st Lt., was graduated with a University of Florida Law degree with honors in 1950, and a Juris Doctor degree with honors in 1957. He was a member of the Florida Blue Key, the Debating Club and SAE fraternity. Phil was President of the Palm Beach County Bar Association in 1957, and practiced law for over 50 years, serving as General Counsel for several exchange listed corporations. As an avid private pilot, Phil logged thousands of hours with family and friends, ventured to numerous foreign lands, and traversed the United States regularly. Phil is predeceased by his loving wife Patsy, son Jimmy, daughter Sandee, and sister Anita Bunker. Left to mourn his passing, are son Billy, granddaughters Holly, Lindsay, and Kelsey, niece Beverly, close friend Madge Cooper, and many friends. A celebration of Phil's life will be held on Thursday November 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Fellowship South Campus in Palm Beach Gardens, with a reception immediately following.
