LEONE, Michael Steven

Michael Steven Leone of North Palm Beach, FL died January 28, 2014 while on vacation in Park City, UT. He was a loving father, grandfather, family man and friend. Michael was an established attorney and CPA with over 40 years of experience; a partner in the West Palm Beach office of Alpern Rosenthal. Michael's professional affiliations included: The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants - Tax Section, the Florida Association of Attorney CPA's, Florida Institute of Public Accountants - Estate Planning, The Florida Bar, and the University of Miami Citizens Board. Michael lived to help others, serving as Treasurer on the boards of the West Palm Beach Library Foundation and the Commission for Jewish Education. He was also on the Professional Legacy Advisors Network of the Jewish Federation, the Past President of the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council and the Past President of the Palm Beach Tax Institute. He was an active member at Palm Beach Orthodox and very active in the Jewish Community. Michael is survived by his son Brett Leone, daughter Leni Brass (grandchildren Finn and Poppi), mother Hanna Leone, brothers Ray Leone (Judi, children Shauna and Cara) and Matt Leone (Carolyn, children Sarah and Max), his former wife Sharon Marks, and his dear friend Leslie Artsis Adams. Services will be held Sunday, February 2, at 2:30pm at the Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches; 9321 Memorial Park Rd, West Palm Beach, FL. Donations can be made in his honor to either of the following charities he was involved with: the Commission for Jewish Education or the West Palm Beach Library Foundation.
