Jennie Glancy Stewart, 93, of Jupiter, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Jennie was born September 12, 1920 to Leo and Jennie Glancy in San Diego, California. Jennie married her late husband Joseph Franklin Stewart in Norfolk, Virginia in 1948. She and her husband came to Florida in 1957 and lived briefly in Miami after her husband retired from the United States Navy after serving 20 years. In 1960 they moved to Palm Beach County purchasing the first home in the City of Palm Beach Gardens. In 1969 they moved north and settled in Jupiter. She was employed at Super X Drug Stores in Palm Beach Gardens and then worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 33 years, in Computing Lab and Personnel Department. Jennie is survived by her daughter Adrienne S. Jenkins of Tequesta; her grandson Richard F. Jenkins of Tequesta; her brother Edward (Iris) Glancy of Lady Lake, Florida; and many nieces and nephews located throughout the United States. She is preceded in death by her late husband Joe Stewart; sister Francis G. Faulhaber of Virginia; brothers James Glancy of Virginia and Robert Glancy of Lady Lake, Florida. There will be a visitation for family and friends on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Taylor Modeen Funeral home in Jupiter. The funeral service will take place at the Funeral Home, on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will be held following at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida.
