CROW, Anne Cook

Anne Cook Crow, 94, of St. Petersburg, FL, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Edward White Hospital two days before her 95th birthday. She was born in Athens, GA, and graduated from Athens High School. She worked for the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta for eight years where she met her husband, Vestus Crow, who preceded her in death in 1981. She is survived by her sons, David F. Crow and his wife Laura and Douglas Crow and his wife Barbara, by six grandchildren - David Crow and wife Elissa, Cindy Phillpott and husband James, Matthew Crow, Melissa Anne Crow, Tracy Crow and wife Mary Jo, and Joshua Crow and wife Melissa - as well as six great-grandchildren, and two extended families of nephews and nieces and their children and grandchildren. She and her husband and sons moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1958 where she continued to live until moving to Westminster Suncoast Retirement Community in St. Petersburg in 2008. She was an intelligent and warm person with a great sense of humor, who enjoyed golf, travel, reading, watching sports and playing bridge and continued to lead a rich and active life with her friends at Westminster. She will be remembered as a remarkable, loving and resilient woman who lived a full life and who greatly enriched the lives of her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. Interment will be at Arlington Park Cemetery.
