KNIGHT-FASKE, Jeanne A.

Jeannie Knight-Faske of Wellington, FL passed away on July 3, 2014. She was born in Bronx, NY to William H. Knight, Sr. and Dr. Mary S. Bear (both deceased) on August 18, 1945. Jeannie attained her BS Degree in Education from SUNY Cortland in Cortland, NY and her Masters Degree from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. A lifelong educator as her mother was as well as a gifted visual artist, Jeannie brought her gentle ways, firm commitment, and nurturing spirit to countless children at Elementary and Secondary Schools in Locust Valley, NY, Clarksville, TN, 18 years in Fairfax County, VA, and the past 25 years at H.L. Johnson Elementary School in Royal Palm Beach, FL. She taught classes at every level from Kindergarten to gifted programs to Dropout Prevention and always looked forward to the time spent with "her kids" -- with all of whom she shared an extraordinary rapport, her intuitive artistic gifts, and a child's heart. With special memories to cherish, she leaves her husband of 37 years Robert C. Faske, daughter Jennifer Wagner Davis (Jeff) of Fairfax, VA, sisters Mary Ann Houck (Leo) of Bardstown, KY and Paula Rothschild (Marty) of San Diego, CA, brothers William H. Knight, Jr. (Hanna) of New York City and John P. Knight (Cheryl) of Barto, PA, sister-in-law Janet Knight of Bronxville, NY, and grandchildren Madelyn and Benjamin Davis. Jeannie's ashes will be interred at the family site in Bardstown, KY. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jeannie's name to H.L. Johnson Elementary School, Habitat for Humanity, or the . Family, friends, students and colleagues who touched Jeannie's life and whose life she touched are invited to attend a Remembrance at 11 a.m. on July 26 at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach.
