WALSH, Margery "Marge" H.

Margery "Marge" H. Walsh (nee Heath), age 92, of Ellicott City, Maryland passed away peacefully on August 11, 2014. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 21, 1921 and was raised in the Guilford area of Baltimore, Maryland. She lived in Govans and then Arbutus before moving to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida in 1962 where she lived for over 40 years. She returned to Maryland in 2006 where she resided in Ellicott City until her death. Mrs. Walsh was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach, Florida and later in life attended St. Paul's Catholic Church in Ellicott City, Maryland. In addition to being a devoted mother, she was active in the community volunteering as a Pink Lady at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. She loved sports and spending countless hours at the ball field watching her children play football, softball and baseball. She also enjoyed keeping score for men's softball in both Palm Beach Gardens and North Palm Beach for many years and enjoyed watching the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Orioles. Her most cherished times were being around her children and their families, right up to her passing. She was united in marriage to Gloyd Michael "Hop" Walsh on October 12, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland. After 53 years of marriage, he unexpectedly preceded her in death on October 14, 1993. She is survived by their 10 children and spouses; Pat (Joe) Owens of Ellicott City, Maryland, Ron (Kim) Walsh of Doraville, Georgia, Jack (Mary) Walsh of Tallahassee, Florida, Peggy (Wayne) Rioux of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Mike Walsh, Bob (Darlene) Walsh, Bruce (Cathy) Walsh, Kevin (Faith) Walsh, Joan (Dale) Fisher, Nancy Walsh all of Palm Beach County, Florida; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by one great-grandchild, Kristopher Owens. Friends may call at the Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter on Thursday, August 14th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM with a prayer service at 7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach on Friday, August 15th at 12Noon with Father William O'Shea as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Gilchrist Hospice Care, 5537 Twins Knolls Road, Suite 434, Columbia, MD 21045.
