Family-Placed Obituary

JAMES SHORTLEY 76 of Boynton Beach passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2008. He was born in Swissville, Pennsylvania on June 3, 1931. He worked for Rinker Materials for 30 years and Shortley Aluminum for five years. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Navy. James was a devout Catholic and a loving father. He is survived by three sons, Jim (Linda) Shortley, Jr., Tim (Jean) Shortley, Dan (Lillian) Shortley; daughter, Maureen (Tom) Papp; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Mary Ann) Shortley and sister, Pat (Ed) Locke. Friends will be received Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 6-8 PM at Scobee-Combs-Bowden Funeral Home, corner of US Hwy. #1 and N.E. 15th Avenue, Boynton Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, Boynton Beach.
