NANCY GOLDSMITH (nee Cestone) A resident of Boynton Beach, Florida passed from this life on April 4, 2009 at JFK Memorial Hospital/Hospice of Palm Beach from a sudden and devastating illness. She was 60 years old. Nancy was born December 15, 1948 in New Rochelle, NY to the late Ralph Cestone and Carmela (nee Sorrentino) Cestone. Nancy grew up in New Rochelle where she attended St. Joseph Grammar School and graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1966. Nancy had been a long-time member of St. Joseph Parish where she sang in the choir and served as the church secretary for many years. Nancy lived in Westchester County for most of her life and joined the Atre Organization where she worked for 16 years and ultimately became the Personal Assistant and Administrative Assistant to the president of the organization. In 1994 Nancy married the love of her life, Jesse Goldsmith and they relocated to Boynton Beach, Florida in 1998. Nancy was instrumental in building and maintaining the family dental laboratory. Before she passed she was in the final stages of moving the family business to a new location, which had been a long-time dream. Nancy was a talented chef and seamstress and loved to decorate and care for her lovely home. She was well known for her creativity and artistic ability. She loved life and Nancy's life was her cherished family and friends and she will always live on in their hearts. Nancy lived her life with a wise and sensitive measure of pride, humility and tenderness. Her warmth, strength and independent spirit will remain with all who knew her. Nancy was predeceased by a son, Joseph Carafa, in 1992. She is survived by her adored husband, Jesse; her dearly beloved son, Jamison Carafa and his fiance, Shannon Friend and her cherished granddaughter, Julia Carafa. She is also survived by her two loving step-daughters, Shari and Amie Goldsmith. Nancy is also survived by her dearest sister, Gail Camillone and two beloved nieces, Nancy St. Hilaire and Michele Camillone and by a host of loving relatives and friends. On Wednesday, April 8, friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service for her at Boynton Memorial Chapel, in Boynton Beach, Florida between the hours of 5-8 PM. For friends and family in the New York area, there will be a funeral mass on Saturday, June 20, 2009, at St. Joseph's Church in New Rochelle, NY. Details to follow.
