Jamie Reynolds Obituary
Family-Placed Obituary
JAMIE JO REYNOLDS Age 48, died in the Hospice Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital on August 25, 2009. Jamie was of Christian faith and was born in Tallahassee, FL but considered West Palm Beach her home. She was a very talented singer who also enjoyed acting. She was a 1979 graduate of Forest Hill High School. Jamie was a member of the Falcon Band, chorus and President of her Junior Class. She then completed an apprentice program at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater before attending the Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. From there Jamie went to California to pursue a career in entertainment. In 1985 she was involved in a car accident. Her injuries and complications from that accident plagued her for the rest of her life. Jamie Jo is survived by her father, James Hooks Reynolds (Maria); mother, Jo Reynolds-Hufner and brother, James Burton Reynolds (Jackie) and son, Luke Reynolds. In addition, she is survived by uncles, Frank Scholze (Liz) and Burt Reynolds and aunt, Nancy Ann Brown. Cousins include, Lewis Scholze (Lisa) and daughter, Elizabeth Diana Hoffs (Alex) and daughters, Amelia and Lily; Beth Ledbetter (Tom) and sons, Albert, Michael and Tommy and cousins, Nancy Lee Hess (Rick) and Charles Ritchey Brown (Debbie). In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407. Funeral Services will be private. To Jamie's family. I had the pleasure having Jamie live at my home along with my three children for several months. She was extremely entertaining and oh so very amusing. Her quick wit kept us laughing. My kids to this day remember (every word) of various songs taught to them by Jamie including a song about the Titanic. We fondly remember Jamie, and her zest for life. My deepest condolences to her family at this time . As a mother who has lost a child, I pray that God gives you strength and that you find comfort in remembering her and her beautiful spirit.

Jo,Buddy, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Jaime as a young girl just like I remember Buddy when he was in my class at Meadow Park(the play was 1776). Time has a way of leaving it's imprints on our lives..

Our children are not supposed to pass away before we do as the parents. I cannot imagine your loss. Knowing both of you at Forest Hill and watching your children grow up, brings back so many memories.
God has a wonderful addition to His heaven. I know He will give you the comfort you need at this time. God is our refuge and strength.
