Lillian Mericantante Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

LILLIAN ROSE PALLADINO MERICANTANTE Born in Boston, MA, September 14, 1918, Lillian was the first child of Joseph and Mary Palladino, Sr. who were the owners of the Latin Quarter Night Club on Winchester Street, Boston, MA, entertaining such greats as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Nat King Cole, Jimmy Durante and Tony Bennett. Growing up in an equestrian family, whose horses participated in the Kentucky Derby, Lillian became an accomplished rider of horses in her youth. She later taught her friends how to ride. In the 4th grade, she met John Mericantante, Jr. who was to become the love of her life and later married him at the Parker House in Boston, MA. The couple had their first child and moved to Medford, MA. As the family continued to grow, they moved to Winchester, MA where they remained for 37 years while Mr. Mericantante became an executive with Ford Motor Company where he worked for 40 years. She enjoyed playing on the Ladies Bocce Team at the Medford Boat Club, and was an avid tennis fan. They later retired to Fort Lauderdale, FL and finally to Boca Raton, FL where Lillian and John created life-long friendships at LaFontana condominium. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and her personal assistant, Nadesha, who all loved her very much. She loved her children more than life itself. Lillian is predeceased by her husband of 48 years, John J. Mericantante, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Diane LaMarca and fiancé, Jeff Model of Boca Raton, FL; her son, Fr. John J. Mericantante, Pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pahokee, FL; daughter, Dr. Debra Anzalone and husband, Dr. Fanancy Anzalone of Lighthouse Point, FL; daughter, Lillian (Candy) Simeone and Tanya Shenk of Merrimack, NH; grandchildren, Guy and Dawn LaMarca of Milton, GA; The Hon. Charles "Chip" and Eileen LaMarca of Lighthouse Point, FL; Tiffany Anzalone of Washington, DC; Tracy Anzalone of Lighthouse Point, FL; Michael Simeone and fiancé, Olivia LaHue of Merrimack, NH; and she was predeceased by grandson, Jonathon Simeone of Merrimack, NH; her great-grandchildren, Sophia Lillian and Isabella Grace LaMarca of Milton, GA; her sister, Ann Gabaree of North Reading, MA; and predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Palladino, Jr. and William Palladino; her parents, Joseph and Mary Palladino, Sr. and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 3 followed by a celebratory mass at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's of Pahokee, FL. Entombment will be 12 noon Sunday, March 4 at Boca Raton Cemetery and Mausoleum 451 SW 4th Ave Boca Raton FL, 33432. Candy, Fr. John, Deb, and Diane
Both your mother and father left a legacy to all of you that will be cherished forever.
She is with Be and Barry now and I am sure they are celebrating. Be loved
both of them as if they were her family and treasured her relationship with your mom and dad throughout her entire life. She loved the times they
spent togeather in Maine which was one of her fondest memories. Her love for your entire family was unconditional.
Fondly, Denise Hurley
