Was born in Hackensack, New Jersey on July 6, 1939 to the late Mr. John Herrunzie and the late Mrs. Anna (nee Tidorski) Herrunzie. Thomas graduated from his hometown high school Hackensack High School in Hackensack, NJ. Thomas moved to the South Florida area in 1979, coming from his hometown of Hackensack and in 1987 he moved to his home in Royal Palm Beach. Thomas was a USMC Honorably Discharged Veteran of the 3rd Recon Division serving in the Vietnam Conflict; he was awarded two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his meritorious service to the USMC. He was a member of the American Legion Post #367, where he served his Post as the Sergeant at Arms for fourteen years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #268 Legion Riders. Thomas worked for the Local Union #675 as a Heavy Duty Equipment Operator for over forty five years. Thomas enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his custom Yamaha Star Venture dressed out for parading and pleasure cruising. He will be remembered for his jokester ways, a strong and firm handshake, affable and giving nature and most certainly as the neighborhood handyman; forever fixing and repairing the children of the neighborhood's bikes and other common repairs for his neighbors that needed his attention. Thomas crossed over and through Heaven's Gate on January 20, 2013 after a valiantly fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be forever loved and remembered by his loving and devoted wife of thirty eight years, Linda (nee Toub) Herrunzie of Royal Palm Beach, Florida; his loved son, Thomas Herrunzie, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of West Palm Beach, Florida; and his two sisters, Lillian Wyskowski,and Mary Piorski; his two admired grandsons, Thomas Herrunzie, III "TJ" and Lance Joseph Herrunzie of West Palm Beach, Florida.
