Bernard KRACUNAS Obituary
Bernard Justin Anthony
Bernard "Bernie" J. A. Kracunas, loving husband and father, of North Palm Beach, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2015. Bernard was born on December 19, 1924 in South Boston, MA. He served his country in the United States Navy. He graduated from Yale University with the Class of '48. While working in Washington, D. C., in the Department of the Navy, he met and married his wife of over 60 years, Mary Hewitt. Bernard is survived by his wife Mary; brother Joseph (Helen); children Michael (Cheryl), Lisa Marie, Mark (Patti); grandchildren Jason, Jamie (Gabe), Courtney; great-grandchildren Summit, Lukas, Elena and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4 from 5:00-7:00pm at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 5 at 11:00am at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. Entombment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County or Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach.
